Which way?

which way?

Seek out a tree and let it teach you stillness – Eckhart Tolle

I am always amazed at how we can often look at the same things over and over and then one day we suddenly see something new that we have never noticed before. We really just need to change our perspective a little. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, isn’t it? Walk with me for a little way today, I would enjoy the soulsister and soulbrother company.

I was looking at this photo I took of my favourite tree. This is a tree I have been walking to and sitting under regularly for a few years now. It has provided me with a safe and healing space to be in. It has shared its beautiful and natural healing energy with me. I love the healing power of Mother Nature.

It is a Linden Tree, well known for its healing properties, although I only discovered this long after it had already become my favourite spot. It seems like it was meant to be.

I breathe in. I breathe out. And I am still.

I often take photos of it, as I love seeing the world through photos. This time I noticed the paths more. They stood out and crossed in a rather unique way. It is not your typical square crossroads. It is slightly offset with a wider space at the crossing. Following the flow of life, my photo of my tree suddenly became a photo of the crossing paths.  I saw a new perspective on a familiar scene just by taking a little more time. I was amazed, as I had never really noticed it quite this way before.

Once again I am aware of how slowing down and observing nature and life teaches us simple and magical things. We just need to take the time to listen and notice them.

I am at a crossroads in my life. I believe this is the reason I saw the crossroads more clearly this time. And the message I take away for myself is that the paths are there, they are not always as we expect them to be, square and obvious, sometimes they are affected by the flow of life. We have to allow for this. And so I remind myself that I need to walk slowly and allow some quiet spaces in order to listen for my answers and feel the flows of life. Then I trust I will know exactly which way to step forward at my crossroads. Thank you for walking with me today.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Be still.

We all face crossroads in our lives, some big, some small. Do you take time at your crossroads? How do you know which way to step forward? Please share your thoughts  with us so that we can learn from each other.

love and light, Delicia

  1. Remarkable photo Delicia! Yes, as I saw it I was struck by the way the roads cross. You took an amazing shot of your moment. Thank you for sharing it!

Do I take time at my crossroads? Well, it usually happens that as I feel one approaching I slow down dramatically. You know that resistance to change, don’t you? I simply do not want to reach crossroads and take new directions. But then… I stop. I breathe. And crossroads turn out to be powerful moments when magic happens: ‘Simply changing your perspective on an issue can help you see a way to resolve it, or just stop looking and allow the answer to magically appear.’ So, when I am there I always know which way to step forward because my heart clearly tells me.

I looked at your photo for a little while and knowing where the paths lead I had the gentle thought that they are all really beautiful, and they can even cross each other again further on. I trust this is always the case, if we live with passion and create our destiny with each decision. So you should not concern too much about which way, but rather let the heart guide your feet. You only have to allow this to happen, and as you will take the next steps you will be filled with joy – this will tell you it is the right way.

Enjoy the journey Delicia, and enjoy crossroads. They are opportunities to eventually have answers magically appearing. Take them with an open heart and take the new steps with trust. Any path you choose will be magic journey, because it will be your way.

    • Thank you for sharing your powerful thoughts and insights, Annalisa. I see so many treasures there. And yes, I think resistance to change is a natural part of the process. Change is about stepping out into the unknown which we sometimes find challenging. It is all a beautiful lesson so that we can learn more about ourselves and each other. I look forward to the magic of the journey. And you are so spot on, the heart is the best guide we have. Gratitude always for your gentle reminders. Love and light to you.
