Nature, vistas and animals abound on the South Island of New Zealand. It is much more remote than the North Island and definitely a few degrees colder. My highlights included travelling as far as Milford Sound, hiking and sailing in Abel Tasman coastal park, carving my own bone Maori pendant, tasting whitebait fritters, my first time ever flying a plane in Wanaka, appreciating the beautiful glaciers, mountains or lakes almost every day, seeing birds, albatross, seals and sperm whales up close and personal, wallowing in thermal pools, tasting some Sauvignon Blanc and eating the most amazing seafood – lobster (crayfish in SA), mussels and abalone (perlemoen in SA). The lobster was bigger than I have seen in many years. Oh yum!!

Photo walk is an opportunity to take a walk with me through my ‘photo’ eyes. I often see the world through photos and love exploring my surroundings in this way.

with love, Delicia x

  2. Hi mdssD

As you know I am a real homebody and just going out to the local shops is adventure enough for me.

So being your virtual companion on all your trips and the privilege of seeing the world through your lens is very special for me. I only wish that I had my blackberry when you did your trips to South America, Cuba and the Camino. Oh well!!! You will just have to go again my friend, and this time I will come along on my Blackberry passport. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Thanks for sharing, not just your photos and stories, but your life and your love.

    • Thank you so much. Happy to have you along on the journey! I would love to go again, just need to work on that abundance dance more ;). It is like a sun dance and brings abundance. Sharing grows through sharing, so it is a two way street. Gratitude yssD x

    • Many thanks for your lovely feedback! Walking across the bridge was ok for me, but considering to canyon swing or bungy was not an option for me either. 🙂
