Remembering Mandela

under african skies

Nelson Mandela

A healer. A leader. A legend.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”

In remembrance and gratitude, and as South Africans and the whole world and I celebrate him and his amazing soul over these days, I would like to share my three favourites of his quotes.

May he rest in peace.

with love, Delicia

  1. Hi mdssD

Thank you for the Madiba quotes. As you know I usually have a quote for the day, normally by some famous person and I am always happy when I have at least heard of the person. It indicates to me that I am educated and well read, failing which I usually have to get you to Google.

So when I happen upon a quote by Nelson Mandela, I am always thrilled, because there is no question of doubt as to who he is/was, and why he is so famous. Best of all he is South African and a wonderful soul, so whenever you see a Madiba quote it’s special.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi mdssGilli,

Yes, whenever you see a Madiba quote it is special and reminds us of all he was and is to us. And now he is an angelic soul in our lives as he will forever touch the Rainbow Nation.

      Love lots x

  2. Lovely quotes, all of them! Thank you for sharing. He definitely talks in a language that what he says goes to the heart, encourages and unites.
It has been wonderful to feel all the energy from all over the world growing in these days of remembrance and celebration of his soul. May his wisdom inspire us. We are ONE.
